Job brief

We are looking for experienced team leaders who will be responsible for managing and overseeing the work of their teams. They will commonly provide direction, guidance, and feedback to their employees to ensure that they’re all working towards the same goals.

They will also be responsible for planning out projects or initiatives that require multiple people from different departments to work together effectively. They should be able to develop new software programs, creating marketing materials, etc.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage a team of 8-10 associates.
  • Communicate and work with all support departments to ensure the availability of infrastructure.
  • Assess the team competencies.
  • Ensure that the defined SLAs are met for the process.
  • Ensure that productivity numbers are tracked on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and identify associates who are not meeting these numbers.
  • Responsible for overall and individual Team Quality output improvement based on the internal benchmarks and SLA"s agreed with the client for each process.
  • Come up with training programs to ensure that the gaps are met on the productivity and quality levels.
  • Providing training to employees on new technology as needed to ensure everyone on the team is comfortable with the latest tools and processes.
  • Coordinating with other departments within the organization to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Participating in strategic planning sessions to discuss goals for the department or company.
  • Managing department budgets to ensure that resources are being used efficiently.
  • Developing and implementing new technology solutions for the business as needed.
  • Establishing and enforcing rules and policies for the department or company.
  • Reviewing employee performance reports to identify areas of weakness that need improvement.
  • Responsible for Conflict management within the team to ensure that everyone is performing at 100% of their capacity.
  • Create development plans for individuals based on gap analysis of the competencies.
  • Assess the individuals and deploy / map right members to the projects.

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as team leader.
  • Ability to handle teams with various levels of skill set.
  • Understanding of software development methods with exposure to product development
  • Keen interest to learn newer technologies / methods / processes and implement the best practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of standards and driving process mindset within the teams
  • Project Management, communication, Problem solving / analytical skills.
  • Ability to assess individuals / feedback providing.
  • Creativity in detecting and provoking possible problems.
  • Good understanding of SDLC including Integration and post-delivery support.
  • Sound knowledge of Agile and common tools (JIRA, VersionOne).
  • Good motivator / Team leader and Attention to detail.
  • High level of proficiency in MS products such as Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint.
  • Agile experience.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction.
