Job Overview:

As a DevOps Engineer, your role involves working with a team of talented software developers and system operators. You will be responsible for deploying software systems, improving the production environment, and maintaining and scaling our IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management: Set up, manage, and monitor on-premise and cloud-based systems and servers.

Deployment & Integration: Implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines (CI/CD). Assist in software deployment and configuration.

Automation: Automate routine tasks through scripting and other appropriate tools.

Monitoring & Performance: Monitor system performance and identify any potential bottlenecks. Apply necessary updates and fixes.

Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting services to resolve any operational problems.

Security: Ensure all systems and servers operate at optimum levels and are secure from potential threats.

Collaboration: Work with the software engineering team to improve software deployment and efficiency.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps role, or in a similar capacity such as system administration or software development.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in system management languages (like Python or Perl), understanding of Linux/Unix administration, and experience with automation/ configuration management tools (like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef). Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is necessary.

Certifications: DevOps Foundation certification or other industry-related certifications are a plus.

Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team setting.
