We are looking to hire a positive, proactive IT project manager to oversee project teams and to ensure IT projects are completed on time. Ability to create and deliver influential large-scale project communications with clarity, confidence, and enthusiasm. The Project Manager is responsible for exceeding client expectations through superior implementation and delivery. The Project Manager oversees small to mid-size level projects, develops comprehensive project plans and manages project team and stakeholders throughout the complete project life cycle, and manages ongoing customer communication. This role supports the project team in creation of project delivery strategies, including project plans, work breakdown structures, and resource management. This role requires the ability to lead and motivate people, encourage teamwork, the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, and possesses a clear vision of what determines a successful solution for the work effort and for the company.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist with facilitating communications, scheduling, business requirements/gap analysis, and testing.
  • Act as a single point of contact for project communications.
  • Management of project resources related to project tasks, risks, and any acceptance criteria and signoffs.
  • Confirmation that project documentation is delivered with high quality and timelines.
  • Schedule and facilitate project Team Meetings along with Weekly status reports / Status meetings as needed.
  • Coordinating with cross-disciplined team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
  • Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
  • Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
  • Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
  • Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process to the clients.
  • Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Preferred skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical product selection, technical design, and practical implementation of IT solutions.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and use independent judgment to analyze variable factors and determine the best course of action.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects using Agile methodologies including 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams.
  • Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects.
  • Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 10-15 team members.
  • Balanced business/technical background:
  • Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to development teams and to be able to evaluate complex project risks and issues accurately and objectively.
  • Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences. Experience leading and managing IT projects following SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall best practice.
  • Experience planning, leading, and tracking IT projects.
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment.
  • Experience gathering IT requirements from clients/business partners.
  • Experience gathering IT requirements from client/business artifacts like documents, letters, forms, reports, websites, intranet sites, etc.
  • Experience documenting detailed, formal requirements including Business Cases, Use Cases, User Stories, etc
  • Experience diagraming detailed, formal requirements including Current State Cross-Functional Process Flows; Future State Cross-Functional Process Flows; Use Case Models; Data Flow Models; SWOT; Business Objective Models; Cause/Effect, Fishbone Diagrams, etc.
  • Experience serving as a servant-leader in IT Agile projects.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring project teams, business partners and stakeholders in SDLC, project management, and agile frameworks methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience leading and managing remote teams.
  • Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Visio
  • Experience managing projects using MS SharePoint including creating and managing SharePoint Lists
  • Certifications such as PMP, CSM, CSPO, A-CSM, A-CSPO, or ITIL are preferred.
  • Ability to travel if needed.
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification
  • Experience in the health solutions industry
  • Familiarity with project, program, and agile tools
  • ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Jira Align, Miro are a plus.
