Job Overview:

As a Software QA & Testing Lead, you will oversee the activities of the quality assurance team to ensure the highest standard of software quality. Your responsibilities include the planning, development, and execution of testing strategies, as well as the mentoring and guiding of QA team members. You will help prevent bugs, system crashes, and maintain the functionality of software products.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management: Lead, manage, and mentor the QA team. Allocate resources and coordinate testing activities.

Test Planning: Develop, organize, and monitor testing processes. Define and set quality assurance metrics.

Test Implementation: Lead and coordinate the execution of test plans and scripts to ensure the quality of software, applications, and hardware.

Quality Assurance: Monitor the results of testing, document and report identified issues, and work closely with the software team to identify solutions.

Documentation: Maintain well-organized records of test plans, test case documentation, and bug reports.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Automation: Promote and implement automation where applicable, to increase efficiency and repeatability of tests.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: At least 5-8 years of experience in a QA role with a focus on software testing. Previous leadership experience is a must.

Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Proven experience with automated testing tools.

Soft Skills: Excellent leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Other: Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
